Clearmeadow School Council
Research clearly indicates that good schools become better schools when there is a strong connection with parents as part of the learning community. The positive results of a genuine partnership between parents and schools include improved student achievement, reduced absenteeism, better behaviour, and restored confidence among parents in their children's schooling. School Councils have a unique role to play in bringing parents and schools together in partnership. As parents and community members themselves, School Councils provide an important bridge between school staff, parents, Home and School Associations and other parent groups that may be active within the school community.
We recognize that the amount of fundraising can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, please note that the funds raised through these programs help directly benefit the school and help enrich your child’s education and school experiences. We would also like to stress that all of the programs are OPTIONAL. Should you find one that will benefit you, or others you know, please pass the information along. The more participation we have, the greater the funds earned for the school! If a program does not interest you, please do not feel obligated to participate.
Magazine Fundraiser The
magazine program raises funds to support our students in many endeavors and
opportunities. For Customer Service Call: 1-800 - 667-2536 Mon. to Fri. 9-9 Clearmeadow representative is: Barbira James
Everyone is Welcome to Attend! Childcare is Available! We encourage interested parents to attend the School Council meetings and to get involved in some of the fun that helps to make Clearmeadow such a positive ‘family’ community. The School Council meets once each month to discuss events and issues pertinent to your family. Short, lively presentations are offered on topics of interest and parents are encouraged to have a voice in shaping the events that make Clearmeadow such a terrific school. If you have a "school community" matter that you would like to see on the agenda, please contact the school administration or a council member. Please join us and bring your fresh ideas and enthusiasm.
